If you like reading about the Royal Navy, I would like to suggest To Rule the Waves, by Arthur Herman. I read the whole Horatio Hornblower series this year too, which was........awesome.

Sleepwalkers was, imo, the better book, which I read immediately afterwards, so I suspect I have forgotten much of the actual prose from TWTEP , but those are good points. Maybe it’s time for a re-read.
