Yes, technically you are correct, but pick two well known NA battles, Tobruk and El Alamein and google some images. It would not be visually appealing for an FPS. There is a lot strategy-wise that is fun about the desert campaigns however.

Second comment. The engine and appearance of this game is too good to have just this one single player campaign. I really really hope there are some single player expansions.

Desert warfare is kind of boring for an FPS.

I often lament how no game is played from the German side. It’s completely understandable, and I am obviously on board, but there are a lot of interesting battles and campaigns we “miss out on”.

The Crimea campaign itself has enough for an entire game. Limited forces, amphibious landings, attacks and defense of the Perekop isthmus, the siege of Sevastapol with all it’s outer defenses, heavy bombing, etc.

My new “simple drink” is 1/4 to 1/3 tequila, the rest limeade on ice. Delightful to drink, plus no shit sour mix.
