My dad said similar about 4wd. 4wd is great for getting you further into the ditch. For 30+ years he drove various rwd wagons and sedans 30+ miles through rural Minnesota in almost all weather to get to work on the railroad. I don’t ever remember him ending up stuck or in the ditch either.

Reminds me of this video I saw back in college (10 ish years ago) which led to me also rescuing a “nobody’s” bike that had been abandoned near the main bus stop, rear wheel taco’d after being clipped by a snow plow. Granted, mine was some cheap-o, no-name, steel framed road bike, not nearly as cool as this one.

I grew up near a tiny marina. My sister and I would walk to it during the summer and hang out. There was an ancient woman in the area that had a giant boat in the front yard that we walked by to the marine. The Boat looked exactly like the Minnow (picture below), including the giant hole.

Anecdotally speaking, my experience is nothing like what you’re saying here. My current tankless is 8 years old and I’ve had it maintained exactly one time (I have a water softener, so I’m not getting that scaly buildup), and I’ve never once had to have it serviced.

Oh, I’m firing up my keyboard all right. But not to lambast you or anyone else about being enthusiastic about a Prius, but rather to take to task anyone that dares try to do that.

Not sure I see a need to make this a bigger deal than it has already become. They put out a bad joke, got called out, then made what seems like a honest and open apology that appears sincere.

This is a secondary tale, but it’s always stuck with me. People, cherish your dogs.
