100% you would be ok with this if it was white people, which is exactly the point these gentlemen are making. Thanks for playing.

This is why I don’t have role models.

Nicki and Lil’ Kim come from two different generations, so I’m not sure if this matchup makes too much sense given that fact.”

Respect and disagree totally. Saying Wendy was problematic is an understatement, especially back around the time Brat was hot. Wendy was the definition of messy chaos influencer. She made it her business to be as disrespectful and gossipy as FCC regulations would allow. Brat saying she didn’t find Wendy attractive

Mr. Burton is an amazing actor and more importantly, an amazing spirit.  His breadth of work blows my mind.  Support 100% and can’t wait til he hosts Jeopardy in July.

Awesome. I’m about to become an educator, and watching Mr. Burton since I was little really made me appreciate how such a small effort as just enjoying a book could open up minds of possibilities.
I do hope he continues with these efforts, they are not in vain and would love to see him influence as many new generations

I forgot she was even in that marginally memorable movie. So... still a no from me, dawg.

There’s really not much of anything here. The headline and the beginning of the story made it sound like Erin from The Office was burning crosses and shit. Nope, she attended some corny debutante ball thing that has a racist past. Most of the US has a racist past.

It’s fucking absurd.  East Detroit had nothing in common with the more affluent Grosse Pointes along the lake.  They did not border them, wasn’t on the lake, wasn’t full of old money new world French blood and wasn’t even EAST of those other Pointes.

Raises property values.

Maybe if they pronounced it “Detwa” it would take on more class?

You’ll have to talk to the Grosse Pointes about that. They started it.

In this context, ”Bass in your voice” is not talking about actual bass notes.

Thank you. So many people in this comments section are not getting this point. Women’s bodies in sport are constantly under a microscope, and that goes double for black women’s bodies. It’s like death by a thousand cuts. I think I was 12 when a teenage boy at the ballpark told me (a girl) that I should be playing

Ding ding ding.

On the other hand this only highlights and even strengthens the divide between equality among male and female athletes.

Exactly.

One’s intent does not remove the pain of one’s actions

Daughter’s ashes? Daughter? See, the problem is that they do not see BIPOC as human. See also:  Animals, Savages.

Here’s a solution for the inky-teared: if you want to go NoT aLL PolIce OfFiCers, then how about you start by booting out the ones that make all of you look bad?
