They want fans though. You're right they don't care if families come specifically, but they know the best way to get people to continue to care, and by care I mean vote to keep spending public funds, is by having them nostalgically remember going to games as kids 

You're a broke college student, and we've all done it, but you're kinda the least important market. They want businesses and families. In two years a $15 is reasonable. You might go to less games, but this is probably the right move.
