Yeah, I mean - who the hell doesn’t want to watch Ncuti bounce around in his pants for 20 mins?

Seriously, more than one?
I’ve been on a few message boards today and the sight of the new Doctor playing a very athletic game of catch in his underwear doesn’t seem to have turned many people off. Quite the opposite, actually.
It was gutsy to have Ncuti act opposite his predecessor, but what surprised me is that he kind of commanded all of his scenes instead of the other way around. He really came in guns blazing. I was impressed.
I think you’ll find that since season one of Severance was released in 2022 it doesn’t really belong in a list titled “The 30 best TV shows of 2023"
I can’t wait. He’s enjoying himself so much on screen, his first full story’s gonna be a blast.
Nice surprise seeing Scott Pilgrim on the list. It certainly defied my expectations of a more faithful adaptation of the comics, but for the better, resolving some lingering threads and giving more minor characters time in the spotlight.
Heartstopper’s second season didn’t hit as high as the first one, but there were…
This is weird, right? I know pop culture figures can’t be omniscient about all other pop-culture properties out there but given NPH’s geek cred this is somewhat vexing.
That was my first thought. There have to be few people around now that haven’t heard of a show that has been on for 60 years and has fans all over the world. It’s like being unaware of Star Trek or James Bond.
Doctor Whomst?
I don’t believe for one second that Neil Patrick Harris “...never even heard of Doctor Who.”

Is the ‘political headwind’ he’s referring to the fact that nobody gives a shit?
Oh no, really? We’ve been loving S1, then took a brief detour to Discovery, which...gets hoisted on its own mary sue petard in the later seasons. So we’d been hoping we could go back to Mount’s legendary hair...er, I mean, Strange New Worlds for a palate cleanser.
I was surprised too but it debuted January 2023.
There’s an excellent YouTube video exploring why silicon based life is likely extremely rare, and why we should mostly expect life (as we know it) to be carbon-based in most circumstances:
I haven’t watched most of these, and I have watched many not mentioned here. I only wanted to say that The Last of US’ third episode (I think it is the one mentioned in the slide) is the best episode of anything this year, period.
Also Star Trek: Lower Decks
Should have Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
Oughta be able to find a place for Fargo even though season just started. It’s shaping up to be a doozy.
