You can get a fairly decent, turbocharged BMW for this amount of money.

This will probably be controversial, but personally I’d consider anything pre-airbag to be basically worthless except as a collector’s item or a toy to occasionally cruise around in on sunny weekends. I love these Toyotas, but I don’t see them as that kind of vehicle. I would love to have a small, simple, honest…
I’d call this car a NP if it had a working speedo and AC. I’m not a fan of most mods, but the Miata looks good dressed up as a classic British roadster. CarTalk used to describe the Miata as a classic British roadster that will actually start every time you want to drive it. The seller has made some nice updates to…
I’d assume the upholstery is that fucked
Unique enough that it won’t get lost among the rest of the Mustmaros at this summer’s upcoming canceled Cruise Night.
One data point on the car:According to the CARB website, it was last smogged (and it passed) in 2014. So it’s probably been sitting for around 5 years. (Which seems better than 20....)
Additional counterpoint. I daily drove RX-7s for 10 years (not even when they were brand new either) and was never left stranded by one. Yes it’s different. It’s biggest flaw is it requires an owner that understands it.
This is an amazing price, as long as there’s no rust. If it wasn’t on the other side of the country I’d seriously consider running out and buying it today.
Allow me to quote one of your esteemed writers Freddy Hernandez. The rotary engine sucks. An inherent design flaw means that it burns oil like your uncle’s ancient lawnmower with the grace of an armadillo in a washing machine. It’s also impossible to start reliably, if you turn it off before it’s fully warmed up,…
I can look past the fried eggs for this price. This is what I’m willing to pay for a Prius.
I read the headline and saw the picture and naturally substituted “911" with “Boxster” due to the price and front end. This is a massive NP today, amazingly low price for a clean 911

You buried the lede. The rebuilt title is like a giant torpedo to amidships.
I hate weeping while I eat my lunch, but this is so disappointing. Here’s hoping that the leaks we saw last week are real and that there are some cooler models coming down the line.
Cars should be fun. This thing is ridculous looking. Taking it serious is just silly.
Looks a lot like an F-Type except with an extra 150 hp on tap, it looks like an F-Type except it’s so obviously not and oh my goodness I need some air and, uh, a little privacy.
This is what we missed out on (it’s the only image I can find, from an in-house presentation: https://www.carsales.com.au/editorial/details/450kw-alfa-romeo-gtv-coupe-leaked-117790/)
Are they really putting 4 doors on a 2-seater?
Seems like a reasonable price for a drop top to cruise around in. It’s not an enthusiast’s model, but some people just want an easy car to enjoy in the sun. You could even daily it in SoCal.
Think of it as a lease, not a purchase. Even if it lasts a year before it blows up, that’s $400 per month (plus whatever tax Florida charges on cars, which is still likely less than the drive-off fees on many leases).
