This is specifically the car I target. If this was in my area I would buy it.

No I will not buy it and fly there to pick it up and drive it home. But if it were local, I’d buy it.

The reason I love cars like this is because you can buy it, Enjoy it, Clean it up, and resell it a year later for approximately the price you

Oh I agree, that’s why I don’t buy cars with crap interiors, but you really could do worse for $3k.

No.  The kit makes it look worse and makes it heavier.  It devalues the car to me

shut up and take my money, NP or GTFO and leave your jalop card by the door!

Those four rings on teh grille are just a reminder of the brass knuckles you felt like you’ve been hit with when you have that first mechanical failure as an owner.

This post seems sketchy.

You’re ok, man. But I do love to hear of a lawyer suffering over a blower motor.

The Pontiac Parisenne was never sold in Paris.

My take on this and the dusty engine bay is that the owner took the car for a romp out to the desert west of the city and decided that was as good spot to take some pictures of the car and did so.

I went ahead and dropped a NP because I love the M3 and this isn’t a horrible deal (I’m sure comments will tell me otherwise). However, would it have been so hard for him to maybe move some of the plastic to get a shot of the throttle bodies which, if they’re real, will show Dinan on them so we know he ain’t full of

you know, deep down inside yourself, you want it.

This is the correct answer. Hard to believe in 9 years we went from a Turbo Trans Am that did 0-60 in 8.9 seconds to a TTA that did it in 4.6. Amazing.

A 1980's ranger frame and driveline is not the answer.

If anything he should be writing more, not less. He’s an incredible writer. If he were to start writing books I would sign up in perpetuity to buy them. (Sorry, I think he’s really undervalued on Jalopnik and was waiting for an opportunity to point it out).

“Raises the question” dammit.

$15k is a lot of scratch for this car. The Mach 1 package was nice and all, but only in the contemporary context. Today, it doesn’t hold much water. The fly in the ointment is this:

I’d give this an 8/10 on the troll scale. The subtlety gets high marks from me.

This sounds like a great compromise.

Short of needing a total engine replacement, there’s no way this isn’t NP.
