Before I bought my Mustang I was a real Mopar nut and used to follow Allpar all the time. Where the original (North American) Avenger was a smart looking (albeit poorly built) coupe, I was excited for what a new avenger might mean. This was the concept:

Let's make this super geeky and knowledgy

I think props for this car is long overdue. When I read about the Indy engine that was going into it, my eyes popped out of my skull. But at the time, even though it did win awards, I didn't feel there was enough buzz about it. Similarly with Bodie Stroud's build of the Can-Am Boss powered Mustang.

While I'd love to nominate the Pontiac Trans-Sport "Dust Buster" - I'm going to have to go with the original Dodge Caravan. Specifically from 1984 to 1990. Not only was it the first Minivan, the engine options also included turbocharged 2.5L engine, which some creative goofs decided could be tuned so the damned things

Some of the cars were already on fire - it was decided to just let them burn off because it was safer than having anyone get near them. The rest were removed from the scene. The ones in the controlled burn above are full of propane - it was decided the best way to deal with them with the least risk to the public was

This is about an hour or so away from my city, Edmonton. This has been on the news non stop the last couple of days. They're not just blowing them up - they use small charges to create small vent holes and then ignite the escaping gas to burn it off - this allows a control burn rather than having the heated, damaged
