I’m sorry you don’t understand, but Smollett didn’t screw anyone out of anything, no matter what CPD claims without evidence or even charges on file, and he doesn’t owe “taxpayers” any more than the government collects from his salary.
Right now, according to the legal system, Smollett didn’t just do nothing wrong, but was never charged with having done anything wrong in the first place.
