I thought he was the guy from “Twister?”
The headline _still_ hasn’t been corrected.
Stipulated. But there were many in the military community (non-scientists) who thought the whole thing was hocus-pocus. There were disagreements between the scientists and the military.
I don’t know why there was any ambiguity at all. In the series, Tony says:
Quick correction in your headline: He’s not the first Black mayor elected in the state of Iowa. That honor goes to Preston Daniels, for whom I volunteered as a kid growing up in Des Moines. :-)
Oh, no, not at all. The story is pretty damned riveting, actually. There were legit geniuses who thought the thing would end up a complete dud, as well as still other geniuses who thought it might actually destroy life on a global scale through an unstoppable chain reaction.

“The Accused” did well, and was well-reviewed.
I’m sure there’s some window of a non-compete clause in the last contract he signed; network execs should fire their general counsel if not.

WTF?

I’m sure that even if we did that (which…
I played the very first Ghost Recon on the original XBox, after playing the original Rainbow 6 on MacOS. Both were as realistic as you could get: one shot would kill you; you had to plan as extensively as actual elite forces do. And still, one random event would trigger a loss; e.g., hostage killed. And that was it.…
I don’t think that’s being quite fair to those who truly are interested in how/why humans evolved to value the things we do, and shun the things we do.
I got the same vibe.
Oh, I drank the shit out of Clearly Canadian in the 90s.
Oh, I completely agree. A limited mini-series, one-and-done (e.g., the _Watchmen_ sequel on HBO) would be ideal.
