This balance thing.. You seem to have trouble with it. If driving vehicles over something destroys the local environment, then there is no balance possible. Either the vehicles win, or the environment does. Can’t have part of both, and since the vehicles can go somewhere else to drive over shit, and the local

The vast majority of elected criminals belong to one party. This both-sides crap is a false equivalency.

That slide missed the point of the Aztek being in Breaking Bad, too. It was an extension of the theme that Walter was incapable of making any decision that didn’t result in awfulness. Including what car he bought.

Well, they got taken back to their youth but certainly didn’t get reliable. Nothing based on a Neon is going to be troublefree.

I think everyone did back then. I never thought they were ugly, and especially compared to the boxes that Chrysler and Ford were putting out, they looked downright futuristic at the time.

Not really. I didn’t say get rid of FDIC. The depositors will be fine as long as they don’t keep any more than $250,000 in each covered account (which is trivial these days thanks to IntraFi). The bank will die if it gets stupid because of greed, which is how it should be.

Despite what the Fed would have you believe, it’s not the only tool to lower inflation. Other tools exist, but the USA is scared to use them because “socialism bad.” Those tools include government-mandated price caps, etc. They also include restricting banks from being so loose with credit, which would have more

For starters, we pass a law that says banks don’t get bailed out. Ever.

No, resort fees are fees levied by the hotel. They aren’t hotel taxes (though they can be taxed, depending on the state, costing you even more).

This has to be a joke post. Please tell us you forgot the /s.

Hey, that $150 car wash does make the car all shiny! ;)

Yep. And the junk fees don’t stop with the poor.

Local municipalities set up ordinances, and only on things that the state hasn’t already said “what we say goes.”

for car’s like the AM, or your Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc ICE is an important part of the whole experience

Because if people would get over the “omg but it doesn’t make loud noises” bullshit, they’d realize an electric supercar wipes the floor with anything else on the road. Full-sized electric sedans are outrunning Veyrons 0-60 and in the 1/4 mile.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s odd not to mention the Syclone in a performance car article where the Dakota gets a nod?

The reason we don’t generally let local municipalities set their own laws in cases like this is that no one can be expected to know all of the state’s driving laws plus the driving laws of every municipality and county in that state. Just driving to work I’d be subjected to 10 different rulesets.

This car can either be a “want” or a “need.” Got a daily and want a good representation of Peak Honda? Or did your daily break down and you need a cheap car so you can get to work and not get fired?

They are not powerless, they’re throwing a collective temper tantrum because they can’t get away with shooting Black people for no reason anymore, and because they’re increasingly being banned from taking “bulletproof warrior” classes that train them to shoot anything they want to and then say they were scared to get

Eh. It’s not like golf carts have a cloaking device. You’re just as able to avoid hitting one as you are any other car, which means if you hit one, you were driving shitty.
