Undoubtedly gorgeous but I venture you could get 85% of the car for 1/3 of the cost.

An air cooled 911. 70% of all Porsches ever built are still on the road. Porsche is very committed to their older cars and the parts aftermarket is huge. They are very reliable. The likely hood of being able to keep one running well into the future is quite good. Also, they are very very rad (in my biased opinion).

The odds of seeing one on the road is very low, then add the odds they are slappy-kinky and I think it is unlikely. I say roll the dice and slap away.

1000%. A huge amount of the classic car driving experience is the smell of oil and leather, the whirring gears, the exhaust and intake noise. 80% of the times I wind out my car it’s just to hear it make its old-timey car sounds.

That is a misconception of how average life expectancy has increased. 200 years ago there were lots of septuagenarians and if you made it past young adulthood you had a decent chance of getting old.
