“I want that thing out of my house!” -- Matt Groening, presumably

This contest is over. Give that man the $10,000.

Old Gil will be there for any episode you want! Yes sir, anything at all! What's that? You want me to dance for you? But you wouldn't even see-okay I'm dancin' ha cha cha!

But you should try kissing him. It’s like kissing a peanut!

The “Hans Moleman robs God” joke is the greatest deleted scene in television history.

This article took four minutes of my life and I want them back!

“the show’s creator Matt Groening took an immediate disliking to him."

Based on his appearance and his name, I always assumed he was at least in part based on the Fantastic Four villain.

You guys know that the Garth character existed on SNL for years before the movie and the look is largely unchanged from the show, right?

I’m not sure about that. Keep in mind that Garth was a character on SNL before the movie and Spheeris was involved. It’s not impossible that Myers and Carvey created Garth specifically thinking of Spheeris, but it would have been a pretty long while before she was involved with the movie.

The sequel was alright as far as sequels go.  It was way better than it had any right to be.

I think it was more that he held so much power and for so long, that people just put up with him. He could make or end your career—and did with a lot of people—so you either shut up and suffered or walked away. I know a few actresses who stood up to him got to enjoy their careers, but they also tended to have powerful
