Actually it's a pretty crappy example. NHS has been trying to computerize healthcare for a decade and over ran costs by multiple billions of pounds (yes Billions with a "B"). Their $20million a year cost savings will take 50 years for each billion to break become cost effective.

Well, from this article it would imply depending upon time of year a family might have multiple thousands or even ten (depending upon family size) just for living there

Assume every asshole driver who has cut you off, texting, swerving through traffic, with maintenance so bad they have parts falling off as they drive, but their car now is flying. Sorry cars and planes should not mix... dear god cars and planes should not mix.

As it was against people who were on a site dedicated on being able to profit (i.e. resell) on pirate content... honestly I don't feel too bad about it. Going after the end users just trying to get a copy of their favorite TV show is pretty dick move, but going after people whose income is based on actually

I can build that kind of hardware easily, I can make it even quieter (liquid cooling been around for years), and I'd bet if I really tried I could find (or mfg) a case of a similar size. Using liquid cooling allows for the use of a much smaller case as I don't have to worry nearly as much about airflow.

There have been 427 field goal attempts this year (370 made & 57 missed). Your 324 value is completely impossible this season.

Comeon there is invention and then there are inventions. Trademarking the term "app store" (which was used for a full year by salesforce.com before Apple did), and then suing Amazon to prevent anybody else from using that obvious generic term. Or how about Apple's threat to France, Norway & Netherlands that they

The problem is that Apple goes on witch hunts to prevent anybody else from doing things. Of all the big tech companies that have existed I really do think they are the worst at actively trying to prevent anybody else from doing things with their hardware, software or even phrases (i.e. "app store" lawsuit)

The problem is that it came from Apple... before the torches come out, it's not because Apple invented the phrase is that Apple goes on very aggressive multimillion dollar lawsuits over names. They will prevent anybody else from using that name, even if it is obvious or mainstream (i.e. "app store" lawsuit)

Actually there is much debate as to whether planes are kept in the air by Bernoulli or by Newtonian physics.

If I remember right (which may be horribly wrong) in 2005 when the 360 rolled out it was barely ahead or on par with top PC cards at the time, even getting Direct 10 access prior to it being released on the PC. Of course almost immediately they were eclipsed by the PC graphics. So one couldn't even say console are

The screen in the middle so reminds me of fallout

No I'd say they are comparable it's just that people are willing to accept one prejudice vs the other, because they think they are better now. Having a niece married to a Native American, I will never claim they don't deal with racism or have massive, massive problems. I just find it so extremely hypocritical to

This brings an interesting question though... we seem to have no problem about other group images from the same time period: i.e. the Irish. Where is the gawker article about how we need to replace the Irish caricatures from been around since the early 20th century. They originated from the same type of situation,

I so want to "accidentally" bump into it and see what happens

Well in the report it says the guy running it (Ross Ulbricht) was arrested in New York a place in the United States... so I would expect that would be the reason Americans think they have the jurisdiction to arrest Americans. Arresting him for hacking, installing malware that included keyloggers, password stealers

She spoke about that specifically and said that if the government is going to force take money away from you, that it would be wrong for you to *not* claim it.

Like the concept but having used those types of buckets before they to use another type of bucket there's hardly any room to maneuver with anything of size. Looking at the picture he's just got his wrists in and they are only a couple of inches to move around in. Take the same concept and use a rubbermaid tub or

I don't understand why Microsoft hasn't done something similar where, you buy a Xbox OnDemand game that you can use either on your PC or your Xbox when you are logged in. It'd be running under their platform either way and would be an immediate leg up on everybody else. Console doesn't perform well enough for

Well... my interpretation isn't that we aren't changing anymore but that we live in such a mobile and diverse world that genetic mutations (the building block of evolution) don't continue as frequently because people having offspring that are closely related isn't happening very much anymore. Previously you had a
