I have a client that has two kids. They’ve been in private school since pre-school. By the time they graduate high school he will have spent about $850k on their education in tuition alone. Private school in L.A. is insane.

I live in the midwest, and USD$1,400/month for a licensed, accredited daycare is about average, if not low.

I watch 4 different soap operas, so I should be good at following ridiculous and convoluted plots.

The reliance on acronyms reminds me both of Scientology and of some of my worst jobs. I suspect part of the allure is that by the time you’ve explained what everything means, any lecture is already half over, reducing the amount of things you need to say.

Elite private school culture is so insane. We once had to go through a costly and time-consuming application and vetting process involving interviews, recommendations, testing, etc... for a private DOG RUN. I’m terrified of eventually facing this with an actual child.
