With the state of the world as it is I’m seriously considering moving to a deserted island ( one that has power showers, Netflix and libraries) to live out my days. Anyone with me? A nice coven of rational, reasonable, feminist people not dealing with this bullshit anymore and instead focusing on the important things

It’s all snuggled up with a blankie!! Cute little kitty with his big ears, I want to cuddle him indefinitely

For once I am glad that my childhood crush didn't magically find me and profess his undying love for me.

Well obviously the war on Christmas is very real and very serious because Starbucks brought out a plain. red. cup for the holidays. I don’t know how y’all can’t see the oppression!

Perfect! My best friend and her family are Scottish and I visit them twice a year so I'm adept at dealing with them and bringing them down a peg or two if necessary. Sounds like a match made in heaven!

A Princess For Christmas is terrible and I loved every damn minute. It's awful and wonderful and so Christmassy

Anyone got the song from Hercules stick in their head now? In my dancing classes annual extravaganza show I was young we did the song A Star Is Born as our opening number. The teacher had a number us grand jete onto and off the stage when the line ‘A star is born’ was sung. Just savour that image for a moment, about

She's my new favourite person, the woman deserves everything for that report alone

Don't engage in IDIOTIC behaviour!!

To be honest after the rain and storms we’ve experienced over the last week I’ll take anything that isn’t just rain lashing down 24/7, I have serious cabin fever. Also, I can quibble with the best of them, in starting to think that I'll fit in!

You ask the right questions! Now I’m off to watch the Chrissmukah episode and cheer for the love of Seth and Summer

Same, Canada has everything that Ireland doesn’t, Proper seasons! Abortions and women’s rights! Maple syrup! Both compassion and action towards the refugee crisis! Any Canadians looking for a bride? (Only partly joking at this stage...)

I have a traditional Irish name ( granted I do live in Ireland), but it's really not that bad. People get used to and it becomes a good conversations starter when you teach people how to say it!

I studied Irish for sixteen years and it’s still not intuitive to me, it’s one of those languages that’s constantly throwing up random obstacles. I remember being so confused when I was about six and learnt that there was no K or Q in the Irish language. I was also preplexed when I leant that Saoirse meant freedom

I know a few Saoirse’s and they all pronounce it a little differently, putting the stress in different places. I tend to just say it really quickly so I'm not lingering in any of the vowels because I'm awkward like that

She’s Irish, it’s a traditional name here, that’s why. My name is considered hard to pronounce outside of Ireland, but that doesn’t mean that’s it’s not a nice or worthwhile name. There are plenty of Sadhbh’s and Meadhbh’s and Laoise’s and Sorcha’s and Aisling’s who have no trouble with their names being spelt and

Sadhbh, Meadhbh, Cethlinn, Aisling, Etain, Caolfinn. The list goes on and on!

I have two friends named Aoife, they’ve both resigned themselves to being called Eva when abroad

I’m in the middle of the Irish university’s version of final weeks and am empathising so much with you. Everything is crazy and stressful as it is and this is the last thing you need. I hope everything goes well for you and that all of those imbeciles get food poising combined with a severe reality check.

I think we may be the same person. I'm in the depths of assignment stress, exam stress and trying to date and get out there stress. I was dragged to candle lit yoga last night, which really helped.
