Because brand identity is still a thing even with the switch to EV’s. Honestly, cars today don’t even need grills, 98% of ICE grills are fake plastic anyways. Its more about design/brand recognition. When you see a “grill” you usually know what brand it is, that is much more noticeable than just as small badge.
