Welll it’s just not fair. And bros, I’m with you. I don’t think it’s fair either....that women are so afraid of men because violent crimes against women are overwhelmingly committed by men, and as a result of that we have to create physical safe spaces that segregate the genders. I’ve been seeing her all weekend on Netflix. She’s taken over my life and I’m ok with that. also, how freaking awesome is Stranger Things? I have one more episode left. So. Good.

No, I think part of the reason he hates her so much is that she doesn’t give a shit about appearing to care about being attractive to men. He can’t sexualize her, therefore she has no value. And worse, it’s a woman who doesn’t care if he finds her attractive who will stand up to him.

I’ve been excited for this but I didn’t realize Atwood was consulting!! Between this, HBO adapting The MaddAddam trilogy and her new graphic novel, Queen Maragret is the only bright spot of this trash year. Plus, her Twitter friendship with Rob Delaney makes me smile.
