I've enjoyed using ShowMan for disk space usage maps. It's simple, and reasonably speedy.
Obviously, desirability is not considered on this list. Sure, you can get a house in Detroit for pennies on the dollar, but why would you want to?

@jsmorley: Everything has an option to add a "Search Everything..." menu item for directories.
Logitech MX1000 Bluetooth. I love the PageUp/PageDown toggle that surrounds and perfectly complements the scroll wheel. The Bluetooth connection means no receiver-on-a-string setup, but instead a small dongle that plugs right into a USB port.

I've been using MouseImp for years and just love it. It's near the top of my "must install" list.
@SpriteMV: You get finer control over the scroll speed with MouseImp than with the scroll wheel.
According to EjectUSB's documentation, it will use Unlocker to close file handles if it is found in EjectUSB's directory. There are several other helper apps listed that EjectUSB will use if found — nifty idea.
