I envy the old Soviet block countries and the huge stores of old-but-operational MiG engines out of which they build such awesome stuff.

It probably wouldn't be terribly practical, but I'd like to see someone figure out a way to fight fire with chickens. And barbecue sauce. That way, when the fire's out, everybody's got a chicken to munch on. Firefighting's hungry work.

The top picture appears to be a fire truck equipped with some sort of flame thrower. How very odd.
