I meant open minded in the very general sense of being willing to try different varieties, as with the examples I cited. If something makes you sick, or gag, or upsets your stomach or simply doesn’t taste good to you that is fine, don’t bother with it.

Licorice is like Coffee, Beer, Chocolate... it comes in enough flavors (salt, sweet, smoky, creamy), styles, sizes and forms that most people if they were open minded and wanted to explore could find one that works for them.

I have fond memories of when  “Baskin-Robbins made a black licorice ice cream” as well...

Also Venco licorice with menthol, packaged to look like chalk. World Market used to have it.

Many superhero films are “western and action movies”.. it seems like they are moving in to other parts of the genre sphere...sci fi (GoG), fantasy (Dr Strange), horror (new Mutants), war, romance, comedy, crime (Antman).. films at this point. I don’t think they will fully go away, Action films and even Westerns are…

Serenity isn’t a ‘good’ movie, but I totally agree that it has the WTF factor, and watching it I was never bored. Being bored is the true mark of a bad/crap film.

it might be the best ‘bad’ film of 2019... if you haven’t checked it out the 2018 flop Mortal Engines was also a good looking romp that wasn’t ‘good’

Brought back a whole pile of licorice from Iceland last month...  Love it.  A few packs have turkish pepper centers, and they’re so good.  Almost a cardamom or nutmeg type flavour.
