Drivers and Police get grumpy with them because they (cyclists) only follow the laws of traffic when it suits them. Run a red light or stop sign, no problem i’m a bike i can do it. Cross multiple lanes of traffic at once, “it’s ok i’m on a bike”. Ride between the lines of cars stopped in heavy traffic or at alight,

educated liberal adults.

Oobviously Volkswagen management and the State of Tennessee did a good job of intimidation

You’ve obviously never worked for a non-union shop before when a union is trying to make its way in, have you?

He literally summed up the exact reason given by the VW factory worker quoted in the article.  That’s not a “management troll”; that’s just someone that is literate and is repeating the reasoning behind the “nay” votes.

Exactly, and if you have a good job with a good salary and good working conditions then why in in the name of the lord would you vote to have the UAW dock your pay check to support their management who has just been shown to be embezzling those funds for their own support. Even without the embezzlement, what can they

If you have to ask in this specific case then I’ll never get through to you. Think about what the jobs above entail compared to WORKING ON AN ASSEMBLY LINE. DOOF.

Woah, woah, woah. Are you actually saying here that you worked hard and earned your raises on merit?

“Management and finance” are doing their jobs. The UAW folks going to jail were selling out their members.

Pretty much. I’ve worked in both UAW and non-UAW plants, and honestly, the workers in the non-UAW plants were happier. I can’t speak to ALL the plants in right-to-work states, but at least for the ones I HAVE been in, there was no need for the UAW.

Exactly. I’m part of the IEC, or Independent Electrical Comtractors, easiest way to explain it is a non-union union. I’m not formally opposed to any and all unions, but I’m not completely for unions either. There’s positives and negatives for both sides, and i chose to be non union because I’m frankly tired of being

Sorry, what’s your point? Union membership for Police and Fire is VERY different from union membership for...auto workers.

“But for now, it’s another unfortunate setback for labor in the U.S., although I have to wonder if any of the UAW leaders caught embezzling in recent years actually give a shit about workers or not.”

Unionization for the sake of unionizing and propping up the corrupt power base of the organizers is bad. Unionizing to ensure a safe workplace and fair wages is good. But since the plant in Chattanooga lacks neither of those things, this situation would fall into the former category.

Intimidation is a rather strong word here.

Good, the UAW is a sleazy and corrupt mess. I hope they get ripped by the Gov’t for essentially mob practices. Also, nice bias in the article there, “But for now, it’s another unfortunate setback for labor in the U.S., although I have to wonder if any of the UAW leaders caught embezzling in recent years actually give

You say with no sense of irony despite unions and the UAW waging a similar information war.

Anyone who thinks this is OK should just rocket themselves off this planet now.

Those spaces don’t exist to appease women. Those spaces are because they are not allowed to co-mingle with the men.  Men have all the power in sharia rule countries. Women can do what the men allow them to.

Shhh. You’re upsetting the freedom angle. Stop telling people the oppressive truth of life in SA.
