Out of 196 countries in the world, 191-192 countries have worse debt individually than the US has. Oookay then.
Out of 196 countries in the world, 191-192 countries have worse debt individually than the US has. Oookay then.
Not to mention that the only other countries who don't have it are Lesotho, Swaziland and Papua New Guinea.
Edit: Never mind.
Thank you for those videos, much appreciated. I do want to say, however, that every ones of those link except for 2 or so do directly relate to Saudi Arabia. I also did not link sites that are obviously very biased in their approach (you know what kind I mean, those horrible hate sites), but linked several Saudi…
I'd say if said reporting is from Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, for example, cultural bias isn't the problem here. Being de facto property and having nowhere near the same rights as men is. That has nothing to do with other cultures and their "ways of being a woman".
It has long been established that acid throwing is widespread, common and has a very elaborate history. It's not just "that one time the US got cozy with Pakistan" (???). In Pakistan alone there are 200+ cases every single year, 70% of them girls or women. Unfortunately, it happens in Saudi Arabia as well.
They were all related to SA in particular and to the topics at hand. I could link you to more sources on every single one of these exact topics as they pertain to SA - want me to?
I made another comment with thirty links/sources to back up every single one of my claims, though. I don't tend to make statements (especially about other cultures/religions) without research and I've also studied some of SA's history in a couple of courses in college. As for "Islamistan", I work in a country with a…
Just shy of thirty, actually! It was kind of exhausting to put together with all the copy-pasting and my browser crashing on me twice in the process. But when someone randomly claims that everything you said is "factually inaccurate" and then not bothers to elaborate, they should learn that some people don't make…
Riiight. Everything I said is factually accurate. Including the fact that there is no penal code for rape, that women cannot divorce but merely have a much inferior form of it if they prove abuse in court, that the Mutaween or religious police enforce a dress code on women that includes covering up everything (even…
Yeah, it's always mind-boggling how US politicians can keep a straight face crowing about bringing freedom and democracy to "backwards" countries while being good buddies with a country that prohibits women from driving, has a religious police to ensure every woman covers herself up entirely (even hands), where being…
Exactly, thank you! I have chronic pain and undergo this treatment (electrical stimulation + injection of corticosteroids) every couple of months. This is NOT like being "shocked" or whatever, it's not painful in any way at all, it's a valid and proven medical technique that is opening doors for the application and…
The term "Liberal", in many places outside of the US, has a very different connotation. I can't speak for Japan but in Europe, our countries have seen several societal revolutions: first, Churches held all the power, then came the so-called "Liberal Revolution". This meant that people in general got more…
Continuing my first reply since I can't edit it anymore:
Ever heard of herd immunity? No? Google it. It's not just a choice that impacts you and your children. It puts everyone you/your kids come into contact with at risk, especially a) those who are allergic to certain components used in vaccines and thus can't get the shot, and b) babies, children, the sick, the elderly…
Are you the tiniest bit self-aware? You know, you posted this photo in a thread under an article about a three-year-old with a half-paralyzed face, who lost an eye and needs therapy to re-learn to speak/swallow and needs (more) surgeries. I bet you think you're taking a bold stand by posting a pic of your smiling,…
Yeah, I saw that. I do not care. You can choose to not comment. They shouldn't have said that, as their post was completely beside the point of the article. But yes, I find it a tad more offensive (as someone who is nor pro-pitbull nor anti-pitbull) for someone to actively participate in a discussion that includes…
Uh, you misunderstood me completely. This article is about this girl's ordeal (that happens to have been caused by pitbulls) and its fallout. I'd say it's not exactly the right time to start waxing poetic about how the dog breed that caused this immense trauma to this 3-year-old girl is sooo angelic, sweeter than all…
Um, that is not an open wound in the least. These are all scars, and her skin is obviously inflamed. It's not "all leaky and gross" because they are all closed wounds. If you look at the picture above the article, that much should be clear to you, assuming you're not an idiot.
A little three-year-old girl lost an eye, half of her face is paralyzed, she couldn't speak or shallow anymore before intensive therapy, still needs feeding through a tube, has undergone many surgeries and will have to undergo more.
