I don’t know how convinced I am that the things you listed are goals instead of ‘things you do,’ per your account of marriage and parenthood. I think many people do work towards stable relationships (which may or may not take the form of marriage) and developing a healthy and happy environment in which to raise a

Do you mean there are no ‘goals’ in life? Or that there are, but that they exist in different forms to parenthood  and marriage, which may or may not be connected to parenthood, I guess?

What is the narrative of this song? I am very confused. Is it about the character of woodsmen? Who also like to do shots of tequila? I’m lost.

What way do you think climate change and an anthrocentric account of humanity are connected?

Instead of reading on and contributing to this site? Or what’s da story?

Cross the border? To NI? Not much chance of getting an abortion that way!

Broadly speaking, no. There is no real base of support, perhaps unsurprisingly! However, the decline of the NHS, often attributed to the rise of internal bureaucracy (the result of efforts to run it along the lines or private enterprise) and staff and services cuts, means that there are a number of people who already

Awk wise the bap. They’re taking the piss.

The party who created this position are the party who want to privatise the National Health Service.

I find all of this confusing. One of the things I struggle with the most, and this is not an attempt to be disingenuous, is the question of personal privacy. How closely can or should we scrutinise the private relationships of individuals, outside of criminal behaviour or patterns of predation?

None of the cases you named fall under the much disputed folie a deux. Take a look at the Wiki article, and maybe the footage of the sisters discussed in it. It’s a pretty specific term, referring to shared or induced psychosis or delusion, rather than two people who encourage or facilitate mutual criminal behaviour.

The personal politics of academia are something else, particularly in this era of job scarcity. You’d laugh to not cry at the fact the institutions that purport to train people for the wider world are filled with folk incapable of functioning in it eh?

This site is gas. Folk raging at someone making unfounded critical comments are at the same time delighted to eulogize a person they didn’t know based on listening to a few songs. Gas.

Do you mean this happened to you during your studies? Or you had some sort of bad experience?

Awk well, it’s on a gossip website from a family of websites that made their name in ‘snark,’ and still thrive on comment section controversy. Timing aside, I think this might be just the place, and that that in itself might account for the tone and content of many of those comments.

Wouldn’t you love to be so affluent and generally secure that the idea of a picture on a coffee cup seemed representative or significant to you?! Or I don’t know - being recognised as a consumer or market demographic is a necessary precursor to equality?

Wasn’t the post shitting on capitalism? It being a system that is bad because it institutes a framework in which people ultimately become objects, and so causing every part of selfhood and all interpersonal relationships to become reified i.e. made real as capital? And the poster suggesting that this is exemplified

So, Wonder Woman in a bustier = women can be anything. Plath in a bikini = undermined by being presented as a sexual object.
