The series starts to slide after the first few episodes and the focus switches too much to Reagan and Bush for my liking. Also the 'Return of the King' (ie. it kept going) ending was excessive and not really all that funny.
My biggest issue, though, has always been that Showalter is the least talented actor on the show…
