I think that Pro-GM are actually offering a service that deserves to be paid for, and the transaction begins and ends at the table. Gripnr is offering a very different product.

I really don’t buy the idea of taking responsibility for this.  Konami’s output has been hot garbage for a while.  It seems their focus has been on maintaining IP by occasionally dumping ass with a title and moving on with the side of the business they actually care about.

This has been going on for a long while. They’re in this annoying place where they clearly value the IP from their game franchises, but not the market for games themselves. I wish they’d license them out to other studios, eg. let FROM make a Silent Hill game and just collect royalties.

They fulfilled the necessary requirements to get from the beginning of the game to the end of the game without making any changes to the game’s code.

Careful doing that with multiple rats/dogs, depending on your weapon speed. Certainly still doable and a good way to get into an invulnerable state to heavily damage or kill one...but some attacks (esp from rats) have a fast second part that often lands before many weapons can get the counter hit in.

And after you get Cid, you can just sit back and let him clear the maps for you.

But ... I like a balancing mess.

Some of the bells for even middle level stones (like 4s and 5s) come so late in the game, cost is hardly an issue by the time you get them anyway.

Nerfa are needed for pvp games when something is overpowered

“You’re the villain because you let me do this.  I’m doing this because I need to be stopped,” is some straight up super-villain shit.  Fuck this guy.

I mean, sure, if they want to add an easy mode it’s not like it’ll have any impact on anybody who doesn’t want to use the easy mode.

The game gives you a setting to launch and play the game in Offline mode.  I am never playing online, so this argument against pause is moot.  This isn’t an Always Online game, as you can literally play it on a system without internet access.

Genshin Impact is a live, always-online game that let’s you see who’s online and you can be connected to at any time by another player, and it also still lets you pause whenever you’re playing solo/not actively connected to another player.

Or, shit, you just want to pause the game. Who gives a shit if it’s a “legitimate” reason to pause, y’know?

So I’m guessing you have neither pets nor children, but yes in fact. Allow me to introduce you to this entirely new concept called “Responsibilities”. Yes. Not being able to pause is in fact a problem.

Are you being deliberately obtuse or are you actually dull enough to not get the absolute basics of why pausing is a good thing for games to let you do?
