Coworker of the cosplayer; I saw the whole thing go down. So perhaps I can clarify a few things I’ve seen brought up in other comments:

Thinking differently from others is fine, but when you voice those thoughts in an insulting fashion while acting in a professional capacity as a company representative, things get a little dicey.

It’s an expansion, if you didn’t want anything changed in regards to a 17 year old game then you wouldn’t be buying this expansion in the first place. This is no more shoehorned than any other bit of new writing being added with this expansion.

So GGs were complaining about censorship in Nintendo games, and now want Baldur’s Gate to be censored.
