I’m probably going to be very unpopular saying this, but this is about a rich person who’s upset that a rich corporation already richly paying her for her job isn’t paying her richly enough.

Uh-oh…. NEO: The World Ends With You and now the Great Ace Attorney dualogy. How am I ever going to fit all of this in my limited playtime :O.
I had a nearly story-complete game of TWEWY hanging on my Switch for 806 days, according to the Sleep PP result screen. Hey, I already fully completed the game on DS and again on iPad, so forgive me for not going the whole mile on Switch! I picked it up again and binged on it last weekend, currently enjoying A New Day…
It’s painful to realize that these are the people developing Overwatch, a game that is celebrated for its diversity of playable characters and willingness to make inclusion and relatability a centerpoint of the whole experience.
I’m really not a big fan of the whole “look at what the Bible has to say about it” argument, but I hear your sentiment and I agree, there is way too much harm already done for any kind of apologizing to fix. They need to purge harmful individuals from their company and find better people to replace them. I’m sure…
HR exists to protect the company, not you.
I absolutely need to express how horrified I am that there are entire threads of comment under this post debating on whether the tweet was or wasn’t sexist, with several people defending that they don’t see what the problem is and everyone’s exagerating in 2021.
In response to the state’s accusations, Activision Blizzard managers proceeded to demonstrate via lengthy monologues how their company was actively engaged in improving public health by applying a strict “No girls allowed” policy within upper management levels. This, they say, is to ensure that one of the greatest…
Except that whole logic is flawed. Exactly 100% of people who are looking to pirate the game are people who would not have bought the game to begin with. They are non-existent sales during or after that launch window. If no one can successfuly counter the DRM and release a pirated version, then these people who would…
I tried that, there weren’t any openings for two weeks
Hey, there isn’t a single other museum I know that does that, how could anyone guess. Usually, when you want to visit a museum, you drive there and buy tickets at the front desk. I found out they had this pre-registration thing when I looked up the address online. I’m sure others missed their opportunity like this as…
There is a HUGE difference between gatcha games and subscription games… Gatcha games provide a free option where your gaming experience is usually either slowed down, gated or otherwise reduced unless you pay a marginal sum to bring things up to a standard level, which usually doesn’t last very long. The developers…
Gatcha is such a plague on the universe… It’s ruined so many things I enjoyed. Chaos Rings 1, 2, Omega, all great games. Chaos Rings 3 is gatcha crap. Final Fantasy Dimensions was pretty enjoyable. Dimensions 2 is gatcha crap. Nier Resurrection: gatcha crap. Heck even Plants Vs Zombies 2 had some mobile F2P junk I’d…
When I last went to Japan, I thought it’d be nice to visit the museum so I looked it up online and realized you needed to pre-register for tickets (several weeks ahead, at the time). It felt unnecessarilly tedious and certainly impossible to settle in the two weeks I was over there, so I gave up. The museum’s access…
I dunno, doesn’t everyone interested in that kind of stuff already have a Switch? I do, I’m happy with it.
I understand actions being taken against people selling cheats for multiplayer online games, as such hacks disrupt the gaming experience for other players or disrupt the service in itself, which can result in financial losses in a number of different ways. Breath of the Wild, however, is a single player experience.…
I believe the mistake here is visiting Kotaku (or any G/O media site) by way of the god-awful homepage. The “Latest” view is classic Kotaku with all the subheaders and chronologically-ordered articles without some money-grubbing executive pushing certain articles on the forefront.
The header doesn’t, but the subheader does. Kotaku’s recent layout changes no longer displays part of the body as an article preview on article lists, but displays the subheader instead. The information was there, providing you don’t just read the bolded words.
by the year 2100, this will be common. The real athletes will spacejump.
Remember how cutting down loading times was the whole buzz thing for the new generation of consoles, especially PS5 who made a really big thing out of it? Yeah. That’s a lot of time freed up to insert some ads. Just one stone’s throw away from happening.
