oh yeah, Alphinaud’s useless at best but Alisaie is totally the shit.
Catboi is best boi. You’ll see the light. Just…. he’s not yet.
oh don’t worry, Minfilia will be The Shit at some point. In the “Where Goes Light, So Goes Shadow” update for Heavensward, the story seems to veer off of the Dragonsong War, but it’s actually setting up world-changing events that are the foundation for Shadowbringers (by FAR the best story of the different expansions)…
I’m not overly fan of Alphinaud at that point in the story… Have fun watching him beat himself over for screwing everything up (because it’s REALLY his fault too). He develops, though. Most of these characters develop amazingly, and a lot of what makes them all super cool and memorable begins in Heavensward.
Honestly, as much as I love the guy, he hasn’t exactly been stellar these past years. Square Enix has some pretty incredible composers on their side nowadays and I don’t miss Uematsu’s music in their games at all.
Final Fantasy composter Nobuo Uematsu
Isn’t there something in the bible about not punishing children for the sins of their parents? Or something about forgiving and loving thy neighbor? I mean, geez, when has Jesus ever advocated ostracizing people with a lifestyle you don’t agree with?
To be fair, there’s a number of good things to be said about Final Fantasy XIII. There’s also a number of really awful things to be said as well, but in the grand scheme of things, it wasn’t the bag of garbage most people say it is. It was by no means a great Final Fantasy title, but it wasn’t terrible either. I’d…
I just LOVE Alex Moukala’s analysis videos, and his tasy jams when he remakes popular game tracks with funky vibes. He’s just awesome and understands music with a passion that’s communicative as heck.
Right, a bunch of stylized clouds and some birds would do the trick, though the sun over mount Fuji is a beautiful sight that has everything to do with the beauty of nature and little to do with politics or war crimes. The only real controversial element is the motif used to depict the sun and not the presence of the s…
Uhhh, I never said using the rising sun motif was OK, in fact I said quite the opposite. That particular motif is a sun encircled by stripes, the sun by itself is Japan’s national flag, and also just the sun, and also just a circle, and there’s nothing offensive about any of that. Assimilating any form of illustration…
I can understand not using the striped rising sun motif anymore to avoid offending part of the international player base, but removing the sun entirely just makes the scene look weirdly unbalanced, like it’s obviously missing something, as you’ve pointed out. Is the sun altogether becoming a problematic symbol for…
I’m guessing that’s really a surprise to newcommers only. Although I never played Splattoon 1 or 2, I was aware of the context of Splattoon’s world in large part because Kotaku already covered that a few years ago when people started uncovering those secret memos in the first game.
I may be wrong but I think Dancing Baby predates All Your Base. that thing was everywhere. Every office would have a powerpoint file forwarded over and over by everyone with an embedded animation and usually some music (I’ve seen variations). It found its way on TV also, that was very much a meme before memes were a…
If you know how to work with masks, it’s almost always a better solution to detach an object from its background, since masks will preserve the original image, unlike the eraser tool or a deleted selection. If you cut too much in, you can always edit the mask to reveal that part again. Masks will also allow you to…
I’ve always really enjoyed the song “Bollywood” from that game’s soundtrack. That’s Mathew Patel’s fight theme. It’s one of the first battle themes you hear, and if you’re inexperienced, you’re likely to grind that level a few times to level up before you move on to the rest of the game in order to level up your stats…
Are they made with real girl scouts, though?
why dock? just get a long-ass cable and keep playing with the cord across the floor, it’s not like anyone ever had to do that ever before in the entirety of gaming history, sheesh, you kids today are spoiled.
LOL, “ANTIFA fascists”. That’s just pure gold.
