I guess shit hit the fan. They must be pretty angry.

I just watched the series with my wife a few days ago.

I'd say a problem with western RPGs is that they all evolve out of their origins and never look back. You'd think that as games mature into new genres, it would create a fan of different genres between what they used to be and what they've become. In the West, it seems people believe you just outgrow some things and

Except that the pixels here are just the result of low resolution cartoon-style graphics. The images are not actually designed using intended pixellation like games like Superbrothers Sword & Sworcery EP, but they're using as many pixels as the resolution of the time allowed to represent these characters in that style.

holy crap, that guy is so totally cool

Uhh, yeah... Anyway, FFXIV assides, the PS3 does support USB or Bluetooth keyboards and mice, it's just up to each game developer to actually support them, which they don't usually do except for text input (I'm assuming FFXIV will let you use the keyboard to type in the chatlog, but not control your character with it).

actually I was more of a keyboard user for FFXI and the controller never really felt right for that game, but I thought FFXIV worked great already with a controller. It looks like the new interface will make this even better.

Pretty sure a community rep on the FFXIV forums mentionned keyboard/mouse won't be supported on PS3, but the PC version will offer both control schemes

Dude, it's not even the same game anymore.

sssshsssshsssSSSSHSSSSSSSSSH*BLAAAAMOOOO*

that would have been 'rouge'.

Wow... I knew Gamevil had a history of stealing designs and gameplay ideas all over the place. But just the character designs on that title screen has me thinking Warcraft, Jeanne d'Arc and Odin Sphere. At least.

Dude, I AM a Graphic Designer. That's my job. Shut the fuck up.

Except that this only works with words you're familiar with and read regularly. words you only see once in a blue moon will make no sense at all. You need to be able to recognize individual letters to shape words you don't know as well

Agreed, Christian Boer's font is a lot better

Yes, but then the space between words also needs to be increased, the space character itself needs to be larger. Bessides, it's not just the amount of spacing, it's the inconsistency

I swear, the more I look at this font, the more I want to wring Mr. Gonzalez's neck. This person does NOT love type. He just fucked up Bitstream Vera Sans's delicate balance. You do NOT under ANY CIRCUMSTANCE alter existing fonts. Good fonts take years to refine and perfect for every situation and he just went all

GRArghrhHAFfhfhFRFFr HORRIBLE KERNING.
