Actually the animation was leaps and bounds ahead of the saturday morning cartoon. It features an incredible voice acting cast. I mean, Mr. Spock, Orson Welles, That Guy From Unsolved Mysteries, The Micro Machines Guy. Wow. There's even a song by Weird Al Yankovik. Holy sheeet.

Well duuh, I'm not dumb. It's just that instead of doing these pseudo-2d remakes with floaty cartoony 3d models for the levels and characters, they should just stick to sprites and the exact same design, only make everything more detailed for higher resolutions.
