I don't think it should be free either! I'm OK with paying for a subs for an MMO. It's server maintenance and you get a lot of mileage out of an MMO. Plus it's more than a game, you typically link up with a guild and make some friends so it's definitely worth 15 bucks a month.

Thats a good thing for an mmo. Its trying to hook in people for as long as it can to get that monthly sub cash, and making it so the game can run on a wide range of rigs makes that an easier feat to accomplish.
