For sure. In the end it is a different car. Mazda didn’t just send it to a company to chop the roof off and fit trim pieces they designed a FC convertible from scratch. Handling capability wise they are about the same. But yeah definitely “feel” different.

Difference could come from a lot of things. Different ratio rack. Some turbos had abs. And turbo had an lsd and well..a turbo lol.

Do some research on the verts. One of the best built convertibles ever.

Feather weight? These weigh 3100 stock more with that lt1....

My hardtop handled and felt the same as my vert. On thing the vert does is rattle a bit. These convertibles are amazing well engineered.

I own a 90 vert lol.
