Parents can't do everything man, they can only do so much.

When you believe in something so much, and this goes regardless of age group, you will do what you think you must in order to fulfill that belief.

First of all, calm your tits. Seriously. Second, parents can't always hover over their kids 24/7. They don't know what goes on in the mind of their kids, they can only guess based on some facial expressions and even then it's tough. Unless the kid talks, the parents can't really do much.

Dude when you're 12, you're more often than not gullible to a high degree. I probably would've thought Slenderman was real at that age too, of course I wouldn't have stabbed someone over it, but there's no telling what I'd do in that situation because of my belief in Slenderman.
