First 7 to 10 hours, yes. Afterwards it becomes less tropey and more nuanced.

Lol. EA wouldn’t touch a game like this with a ten foot pole. They would take one look at the design documents looking for the word “assault rifle” and when it cant be found, they’d chuck the document in the trash.
That’s Fire Emblem for ya. At the endgame, ALL of your deployed units will be child soldiers.
They are finally bringing back Maya! I really hope this gets localized. The oracle seems super smug. I cant wait to break her. And for once, I don’t mean that sexually.
I just remembered something. In Persona 4, the character Naoto had the light and dark spells, Mudoon and Hamaon, which were one hit kill. They incorporated this into Naoto’s fighting style in Persona 4 Arena. The spells were the super attacks and the opponent had a counter. Doing certain combos and landing certain…
I guess it could be like the Duck Hunt Dog where he summons the other characters and they do the attack for him. Or it could incorporate the ratings battle where Frisk can do actions to raise ratings, giving him a kind of buff.
Sorry dude. The remake is catering to Japanese fans too. And they like their heroes skinny and lithe.
This will be the ultimate clash...
I think the only time there will never be a massive hype for a game is when they stop making games. Any “best game ever” discussion can never be objectively discussed. People have been doing that for literature for hundreds of years and see how much progress that debate has made.
They will always be there man. Dont let thecommunity damper your experience. I know they have reach Tumblr levels of insufferable, but there is a reason why is has drummed up such a diverse following. Sure the SJW are on it, but Earthbound fans like it for its humurous tone, RPG fans like it for its story, heck even…
I’m with you on the sword one. You follow the hints, you manage to shatter the bracer. Then you go “now what?!” Then, it swings again. The massive sword thunders and shakes the landscape and you take damage. You curse this thing for its clear advantage over you.
I’d have to be VERY EXHAUSTED to eat food that would look like it would paralyze me.
I never realized how much I needed Khezu pudding in my life. I wonder if this is what they meant by Pale Steak?
Would you venture to say that it is outrageous? Like, truly outrageous?
SU is interesting in that Steven’s strength isn’t in his power but his pacifism. Steven’s best ideas come from when he chooses not to fight. Thankfully, this is coming from Steven being genuinely lovable and amiable and not out of some comic-book/anime style self-righteous preservation of life.
You remember Shovelware games? Those games that were made on cheap to capitalize on the popularity of a product, like video games that are movie-tie ins? Those games are reliant on parents who aren’t really into video games looking through the store for a game to buy for their kid. They don’t really know anything…
Sign of the times I guess.
I was expecting the chocobos in Final Fantasy Type Zero. They seem more appropriate for this setting.
Yeah I’m with you on 4th. I eventually shifted to the “least” annoying battle team of Edge, Bacchus, Myuria and Arumat. A shame about the story. I was getting shades of post colonialism in the story and the plot. But they had to trade it in with “cutesy” anime characters and annoying tropes.
Which makes tearing her down all the more sweeter. One of the things that really made Phoenix Wright so fun is that it gave you some real memorable rivals, people you just love to hate and can’t wait to smack that smug grin off their face. I just wish there was a way to really humiliate Franziska. Never liked that…
