I think a movie with Vader freeing the slaves on Tattooine would be awesome.

HE gets it, but then I have to ask: What happened in The Last Jedi that made Mark Hamill at odds with Rian’s direction with Luke?

Given how The Force Awakens was such a mediocre A New Hope rerun (and his second Star Trek flick was equally mediocre, but hey!, lots and lots of lens flare!), I’m not crazy seeing Abrams back in the director’s chair either.

I thought the Clone Army became the Stormtroopers of the Empire? And that’s the reason why Leia says, “You’re a little short for a Stormtrooper” to Luke, because all the Stormtroopers tend to be the exact same height, because they are almost all clones.

But if it eats junk, why doesn’t it just start gnawing on the AT-AT?

This is cute and fun, but illustrates the problem with everything being in canon. Rey has no reason to be so attached to BB8 at this point, so her reactions are way out of scale. She’s also shown doing some pretty remarkable stuff like jumping 20', effortless catching and holding a flying droid that must weigh over

Got to see this back in April at the Heroines of Star Wars panel at Celebration. Overall, I think it’s a good idea with a good message, but I’m still not a fan of the animation style.

That was fun. The only way it could have been funner was instead of a desert, it was some kind of bog or swamp, and instead of bb8 it was r2, and instead of Rey, it was her dad. Oh, wait. Never-mind. That was fun.

I felt that Rogue One was the most interesting Star Wars to come out since RTJ. I’ve been a huge SW fan all my life having seen every single film in the theaters during their original run. And I have to say that other than Rogue One, nothing has excited me since the original three.

Questio that must be answered :

MEH!!!

Yup. Some will come out and say that Kylo technically is a Skywalker and how the original trilogy was really about the rise and fall of Anakin, so this trilogy is just going the same path.

I have a bad feeling about this.”

Twist: Rey dies. Luke was the protagonist of the new trilogy stil after all.

I saw the movie once and I don’t even know the names of the stars! I just know them as the black guy and the white chick.

There’s a vast tonal difference in the disparity of the rebels and Chewie fucking ripping off a dudes arm.

It’s such a dumb scene in so many ways, not least of which is: How the hell did Plutt get there so damned fast? Even in a world with lasers, the ability to operate in space without a suit, and spacewizards, this strains credulity.

One of my favorite things about Rogue One was splitting up the ending into 3 different action sequences where each has a hero moment. It was the part that felt the most Star Wars of the whole thing. I loved it. It reminded me of the 3rd acts for Phantom Menace, Empire Strikes back and especially Return of the Jedi.

Say what you will about his direction of actors, Lucas is a excellent visual storyteller and excels at the directing and pacing of his climaxes - something that JJ utterly failed at and Gareth Edwards nailed. E7's ending was a rushed, muddled mess that was terribly paced, while Rogue One stuck the landing like a
