Yes! For me, it's the itchy palate paired with the inner ear itches. I look ridiculous trying to satisfy those itches, I know it. The pills and sinus rinse address it, but not all the way.

Dating myself, but that's one of the reasons I liked 'Life Goes On' when it was on - I was a year younger than Kellie Martin, and we wore the same humongous style of glasses, and she was just a kid. There are a few other examples, but not many.

I was watching Modern Family's Paleyfest interview from a few years ago -

OMG, I love George & Martha!
I call my parents twice a week. They live together, but I mostly talk to mom. In fact, because their landline doesn't like my phone, I call her cell phone. I talk to Dad maybe 1/3 of the time...
I have a wonderful time talking with my mom. We can be funny and good-weird with each other, I

I'd marry Morello, date Sophia, incarcerate Piper.

I've had mostly positive interactions, too. I especially appreciate this when I'm traveling alone with my dad, who is getting up there in years... he travels with a cpap machine, and always gets pulled aside for it.
... and there was the guy who had to stop me because I had what amounted to a big metal plate once. He

Eek! That sucks! :(

Worked on thesis stuff for the better part of 9 hours today. Slow going! Really annoyed that a mouse click mishap on my research matrix erased the one 'results' section I needed - I don't have hard copy of the article, it was from interlibrary loan and really poor image quality! argh!, and undo undid nothing.

I'm right there with you with allergies/sinuses - can't imagine the other stuff on top. One thing that works for me (if you're not adverse to a little squick factor) is a neti pot or sinus rinse - it gets all the gross stuff out, it stops my sinus headaches, and it also energizes me.

Aw. That's so much to go through. All the puppies need to be okay! Sorry it's been a rough one.

Aw, he looks like the petite version of one of my sweet old dogs :( She was a mutt-y mutt, and we named her breed after her and her mom. They were Karma Sugar terriers. ;)

I'm in the not-liking camp. Impossible to scan rapidly for interesting comments. Boo! Just finished an episode of Mad Men, Season 1.

So, I'm very associative + visual and *ahem* a geek. I can usually remember random pages easily, but lately I have been trying to stop either at the end of a chapter, or at a multiple of 5.
Oh, and like others, I'm also a grad student, but one who needs a few pages of fun-reading before bed.

Of course I remember. I'm so glad to hear that he went peacefully, and that you were able to be there for him.

They best not fail me in their casting of Kimber.
Someone kick-ass. I just don't know who.

I grew up helping at my dad's animal hospital. It feels like I've never not known about death. By the same token, I grew up learning about it from a biology perspective, in that it wasn't sensationalized, but very much part of the life cycle.

Oh, no! I can relate, kinda.

Reading the very enjoyable 'Cinnamon and Gunpowder' by Eli Brown - lady pirates, uptight cooks, exotic locations... hurrah! Drinking... nothing at the mo'. Hanging out at a friend's house, taking care of his awesome dog.

Zotz candy - the hard candy shell with the gross/delicious powdery fizzy stuff in the middle - kinda like a pop-rock reaction, but less active, more fizzy. They were delicious. Now, when I've tried them - they just taste kinda stale. The fizzy stuff isn't exciting, and the hard candy is old like you'd find in a

that'd be 42 in dog years, right? no problem!
