Personally, I just love the way he leans.
Dainty! I'm going to have to borrow that one, as I'm in the same boat.
I have half of an italian chicken sandwich (roasted tomato, melty white cheese, mixed greens, on flatbread) and garlic fries from a local version of a California Pizza Kitchen sort of restaurant. Tasty, but your apple crisp sounds amazing. I'm all for improvising when it comes to dessert like that. In fact, I've been…
I have been juicing - not with a super fancy juicer, just my blender. I put stuff in there that I don't like to eat, necessarily - kale, cucumbers, celery - as well as more greens and other veggies that I enjoy, and a little bit of fruit to sweeten it. I put other stuff, like chia seeds and goji berries in, too.
I have lots, but here's the first one that popped into my mind - 'Goat Girl' by Tanya Donelly.
Watching Season 2 of 'Chuck' on DVD and just had a total nerdgasm because Dixon is Jayne's sensei.
You could do something Seahawks-based? Green and blue.
I have this one friend raising an only child. My friend has a background in psychology and child development, and her child is the happiest, most well-adjusted kid... and that can be hard, especially raising just one child. What always strikes me when I see her interact with her parents is that she knows that she's…
Good point! I work with kids, and for a long time I would say that I'd have kids if I switched fields. Instead, I'm in grad school, going deeper into my field, and I've known for the past 5 years or so that I don't want children of my own.
I use tabs that I find in the toothbrush aisle that I can just stick to the roof of my mouth... I use it when I sleep, but you can use it awake, too. There are a few different kinds.
I'm on a medication that has some of those same side effects. Try being gentle with yourself as your body adapts. It pretty much sucks,…
I thought this would make me ugly-cry, but it made me cry profoundly sad and moved, single trailing down the cheek tears. Couldn't stomach the music, loved the video. Good dog, Ricochet.
Nice! I was (and still am) DJ's age when the series aired. I started out identifying with her and Kimmy's trials and annoyances - both of the little sisters are awful - but I outgrew the series, and hate-watched it for the last few seasons. Before hate-watching was even a thing, hey!
Also, the video reminds me of that…
The styling suuuucks. But I'm into the raglan-y sleeves, and deep v-necks are flattering for my overly broad shoulders. Plus, these look kinda cozy. Cozy has always trumped fashionable in my world. It just has.
I didn't have to dog-sit, even though I love dog-sitting, I had bibimbap for dinner, I'm on the right track with my thesis research, and I got to practice nice parking lot etiquette, which is karmically awesome.
I miss that about teaching little kids, too. Especially when I could watch them trying to come up with the compliment they thought I would like best.
For various reasons, I didn't see my older sister for about six years when I was growing up, and then saw her only at large family gatherings. Many years later, she stayed over at my house, and it was so amazing, because she smelled the same!
It's easy to get caught up in those ideas! That volunteer opportunity sounds really cool. You're welcome - keep your head up!
Awww. So glad she's back with you. Sweet thing. I hate to think of how her previous experiences made her feel so untrusting. Good for you for taking her in.
I agree, if it feels right, try opening up to people on the track team, who obviously have some level of dedication to something that you really enjoy. This may sound super cheezy, but try volunteering for a cause that you care about - you may not walk away with a new bestie, but it will make you feel good (and take…
