So no one thought to smell it when they found it? Weird

So what if it wasn’t a “bad? picture? That’s not for you to decide. It’s not like him and Rachel are currently friends, they hadn’t spoken in years. I don’t want my current friends tagging me in photos I don’t like, and I especially wouldn’t like some random person I went to high school tagging me in photos for clout.

Agreed. I think some it was the media assuming this experience (not just the award, but the press exposure, ceremony, etc.) was basically the highlight of her life. And I think some of it might be translation as well. “I don’t really believe the words of Americans...I don’t fall for those words.” Literally, it seems

You’re not wrong, but I totally get where she’s coming from. The Oscars are a self-love fest that is obnoxious and arrogant. If you asked me over and over again about it, I’d say the same thing: it’s a bunch of bullshit.

In her defense, she seemed happy in her acceptance speech.

I certainly hope it becomes a requirement of all employers that you get the vaccine. I want these fuckers fired with total loss of financial stability. You don’t want to act rationally for other people? fuck you, go live under a bridge.

Serious question.

You don’t get to be a popular podcaster by giving good advice, you get that by telling people what they want to hear. And he clearly thinks his audience wants to hear that Covid is no match for their fitness and manliness, with side order of all-those-not-me-people-can-fuck-off-and-die. Sadly, he is probably correct

This dude looks like he’s taken so many roids that he’s turned into a walking thumb, but yeah sure why wouldn’t he be a responsible voice on epidemiology or vaccination?

And if you do want to get Covid-19 and pass it to others, please go fuck yourself.

The idolatry of billionaires nowadays is cockeyed as ever- I came across some guy recently that was angry that somebody said Elon Musk is evil for his spreading of Covid conspiracies- that he’s never done that, that Elon just promotes “vaccine skepticism”. After I shared a comprehensive list of Elon’s conspiracy

But what of you are young and healthy and have a previously unknown congenital heart defect? A friend of mine from college died at 28 a month after getting married from a previously undetected heart defect.

Yes, this. I think we make too much of the protection a vaccination gives the receiver and too little of the benefit to the community -- but then again this is just like the mask thing, so I’m not surprised.

I believe that its’s people in their 20's and 30's that were passing around Covid-19 with the most and were asymptomatic. If you don’t want to get Covid-19 and pass it to others please get the vaccine.

Honestly, I’m fine with this.  New generations embrace new films, and I’ll be damned if I turn into one of those old farts who complains about how movies are crap now, kids these days don’t know what real cinema is.  Sure, there are a lot of things about many movies now that I don’t care for, but that’s just my own

From what I’ve read, Caitlyn Jenner was such a terrible parent to her older kids, yet has the audacity to think they should actively support her every move and every decision. She is such garbage.

This was super cute, but Andra Day’s fire response to the first part of the bit, that was basically “Purple Rain couldn’t have been nominated for an Oscar because it’s a good song” was so spicy I died :D

This is getting way too much coverage.

I actually did watch the Oscars last night, for the first time in many years — partly because I had nothing better to do (for obvious reasons) and partly out of curiosity at how they were actually going to pull the damn thing off.
