While this interpretation seems sound, I think for most people ‘to be honest’ is analogous to ‘now that I think about it more deeply’. I get the impression that people tend to use the phrase when they’re reflecting on, questioning or refining their own beliefs.

I’ve tried it with a laptop on a heavy duty music stand — quite like the change, but I can’t use it for more than about 45 mins.

DaveHax deserves a MacArthur Genius Grant for this.

“Since it keeps so well in the fridge...”

Are there not any ‘pollution sports masks’ to mitigate this?

How can a company that perfected a LEVITATING GAME CONTROLLER die like this?!?!?

There’s already a simple way to do this. Just sign in to multiple google accounts in the same Chrome profile. No need for multiple Chrome profiles or email delegation.

Crappy, floppy pillows are definitely more submissive.

Cool — just maybe don't resort to tennis rackets, if you don't have tennis balls or tennis shoes. :)

You can also throw it in the dryer afterwards with half a dozen tennis balls to 'fluff it up'. (Also works well for duvets/comforters.)

I don't really hold on to the desk, but I suppose when I'm writing my hands are more static and elevated than normal, so that may affect my gait?

Interesting. I mostly use a treadmill (for standing desk walking) but I find that when I go for a long weekend walk outside, it feels as if I have different muscles complaining the next day.

This is a fallacy. The notion that 'active listening' is a key attribute for successful long-term relationships simply isn't supported by the science*, despite the prevalence of this outdated advice amongst many marriage therapists. Gottman's pioneering work showed no correlation, a result which has been supported by

Dining out on Valentine's Day is the romantic equivalent of going out shopping on Black Friday — it's a hectic, overelaborate and anticlimactic way to bend to the whims of retail. (We're simply going for a picnic in the park — serene, beautiful scenery, and we get to instill it with romance in our own way.)

"What's archaic, contagious, and has a high rate of complications?" Ooo-oo, I know this one! It's willfully moronic, child-endangering scientific illiteracy, isn't it?!

We'll politely agree to disagree.

I do not wish to challenge your world view, especially since you have found a course of action which works for you. But there is absolutely no credible clinical evidence whatsoever that any homeopathy works beyond a placebo action, and it's been the subject of a vast number of studies in many countries.

Sorry to hear that. Be cautious, though — Vicks is not recommended for children under two. I assume the same goes for a night light, since the effect on the respiratory system would be the same (even if it's not a skin irritant).
