I know. I want to go rescue it. I fear it’s just the beginning, with 996 and especially 986 prices as low as they are. I imagine in a few years you’ll see them stanced as well, because some kid wants a Porsh.
I was driving some back roads the other day when I saw a donked 996 in someone’s backyard.
I’m in a similar place. Don’t have kids and don’t want them (looking into the vasectomy soon), but I do have a large dog. My cars are 2+2 coupes and he fits just fine into them. My next car will either be another 2+2 or a 2-seater. I think SUVs are the devil.
That’s what I would get if I had a reason for an SUV.
Alas, the Carfax says it’s originally from the Baltimore area. It came to Virginia when its second owner bought it in 2007. I once had a different one that came from Williamsburg Honda and still had its original plate frame from there.
Numbers 1 and 9 together...I’m doing a partial resto on a 1991 Prelude Si (which is a late 80s holdover). I’d love to have a brand new one, with a more powerful and less finicky engine (and a 6th gear), zero rust, the mechanical 4-wheel steering setup that was available back then (mine has ABS instead) and still be…
My next project is likely to be a non-running 986 Boxster, because I haven’t made any terrible decisions in awhile. Not since the girl with the pierced septum, at least.
Seconded. Was going to post this myself.
Virginia here. We’re starting to head that same way. The northern part of the state is basically an extension of Maryland, and the high population there means they have a bigger influence over the rest of the state than you would think such a small area would have. Since separating the state at Fredericksburg is never…
Yep. I’ll be well into my 60s by then.
Those glasses really say “hi to my family at home”.
I saw two when I looked after Aaron’s previous post earlier today. One was 8 grand and the other was 13.5. Meanwhile there was a running autotragic for 1895.
For Honda, the opposite is seemingly true. Their glory years in F1 (with McLaren) were the late 80s and early 90s, when they were hitting their stride in producing great road cars. When they were in their own in F1 in the 00s and were hit and miss, their road cars were on the downswing. And today, well, you saw the…
Aaaaand I’m looking at 928s on Craigslist. The prices on these things are all over the place.
Yeah, it’s not a bad job. It gets the bills paid with enough money left over to pay for my hobbies. There’s also room to move up, so I’m working towards that within a few years.
First thing I noticed.
