To be fair, they’re relatively obscure compared to the H and regular B’s. They’ve been out of production for almost 25 years and had very little aftermarket support. Because of that my 1991 Si is staying stock and I’m modifying a 2001 instead.

Nope. The 88-91 Preludes had B-code engines that were unrelated to the ones in Civics, Integras, etc. The B20A was the JDM version. The USDM models, depending on trim level, had either a B20A3 (carbed), B20A5 (fuel injected, iron sleeves, essentially the same as the JDM B20A), or B21A1 (fuel injected, FRM sleeves with

If you must have a corporate grille (and we all know they probably will), don’t make it an eyesore. *glaring at Acura and Lexus*

I don’t Follow You, Follow Me with these puns, but I’ve had a couple drinks Tonight, Tonight, Tonight. Someone should Take Me Home because I Can’t Dance or drive.

I own a Honda Prelude, and both the Facebook Prelude community and the local car scene were like that. The import guys and girls were either stance kids or Fast & Furious wannabes, and often would ask me why my car wasn’t modified (never mind the engine swap, the upgraded exhaust, the carbon fiber hood, etc, but if

Agreed, I think the 90s and early 2000s were the sweet spot for a balance between enjoyment and safety.

My Prelude has an aftermarket header and exhaust system and it sounds like that in the mid and high RPMs. I love that sound.

I do this with all three of my cars, even my beater (which is the most modified of the three, although sometimes I feel bad for using it as a beater)

I don’t go to car meets or shows anymore because of stanced cars. I don’t want to come across, for example, a stanced NSX and end up getting arrested for vandalism and/or assault because I know I’d go into a rage when I saw it.

My friend’s mom had a Montero of this vintage when I was in high school ~15 years ago. I remember it being not terrible, but it eventually died and was scrapped. That said, late 80s-early 90s JDM stuff is currently very much a seller’s market and you’ll see stuff like this pop up for prices like this all the time.

The size of the FiST isn’t an issue for me. I’m 5’7 and 180, and don’t have or want kids. I do have a big dog, but even in the FiST I’m sure he’d be less cramped than he is in the back of my 4G Prelude.

Honda’s been dead to me since 2010 or so.

Of all those, the GT4 and the Fords are the only ones that interest me. The GT4 is and probably will always be well out of my price range, and right now the GT350 and RS are too. I’ve driven a FoST and enjoyed it, but I want to try a FiST before I decide which one I like more.

Petersburg, Virginia. It’s mostly run-down but has a few high-income areas and is located next to a large military base, so I saw all kinds of interesting cars when I worked there. Donks, immaculate muscle cars, 1980s Japanese cars living out their last years, new Porsches, donks, brodozers, heavily depreciated

I’m the same way. I hope when I’m that age (currently 30ish so I have plenty of time) manuals are still around, or that I preserve a car with one in good enough condition to use frequently.

One of my late grandfather’s friends had a Focus SVT when they were new. He was well over 70 at the time. I’ve also seen people that age driving S2000s, Preludes (which were actually pretty expensive at the end...a loaded one would be close to $50k in today’s money), MKIV Supras, and a Z or two.

Good point. I know of three import tuning shops here in the Richmond area, and the only one in Richmond proper is in a pretty sketchy area. The other two are in suburbs, 20 miles in either direction, right off interstates.

Earlier this year I saw a tastefully modified R35 in the ghetto.

I know I used this image already today, but...

I feel the same way as you about it. Either we’re both terrible people or we both realize that there’s a problem with that mentality.
