Why wouldn’t they reduce the orders to 60? MAYBE they have NO plans of invading other countries, or fomenting war in certain regions of the world? Maybe they figure given the thousands of warplanes they already have, they DON’T need another 200 PAK FA T-50’s?

Do you live here in the U.S.? Whatever Putin may have done or is doing PALES in comparison to what Washington and Wall St. are doing to us right NOW. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Putin et al are amateurs, boy scouts, compared to the hypocritical and wholesale greed and corruption in this country.

I really don’t think the Tartarus port is that a big a deal any more. Russia has a vague shadow of its former Navy left, from back during the Soviet Union era. Putin is an extremely pragmatic politician; a complete realist as a diplomat.

Who gives a flying F about Georgia? Georgia back then, with its clown president, Shakasvilli-minelli-spaghetti? Georgia is sorta like the Russian version of Idaho: it’s a backwater, and no-one really gives 2 cents about them.

Still dimwitted. “Why isn’t Russia bankrupt? Why is their economy still going? Why aren’t sanctions working? Why am I so stupid? Blah-blah-blah-blah ......”

Only if your mom’s there.

Yeah of course no-one in their right minds will oppose Russia - this is a battle against ISIS and Al-Qaeda.

Yeah, the Russian Air Force isn’t trying to “kill” the SU-25 in favor of some swollen, slow, way-overpriced P.O.S. stealth jet.

Oh for crying out loud, here’s a dollar, go buy yourself a clue: do you know how much money Gazprom brings in for Russia in selling gas to Europe?

The West and other Gulf states are operating in Syrian sovereign airspace right now with neither a U.N. mandate or the permission of the official Syrian government. If Syria and Russia want to conduct air support operations for their ground offensives against the jihadist rebels — without fear of collisions or

All this to prevent a Qatar-to-Turkey gas pipeline from ever happening. It’s why this sham ‘civil war’ got started anyway: Assad won’t let that pipeline go over Syrian territory. Ergo, according to the West and their middle east lackeys, Assad’s gotta go.

Oh look, guys, another gullible idiot who fell off the Neocon tree. The Neocons in Washington are really counting on absolutely-stupid rubes like you to push their song-and-dance routine with the every day man.

Told ya guys - Russia sees the possible fall of Assad as an existential threat to Russia, because of the pipeline-geopolitics really behind this faux ‘civil war’ in Syria. Besides, Russia knows it’s got ‘right’ on its side, this being a mortal battle against the forces of Mordor, aka ISIS.

That doesn’t matter because the Gulf states and Turkey will make hundreds of billions each year selling gas to Europe, once Syria is destroyed, Assad killed, and the new pipelines get built through the remnants of Syria.

This is what peace in Syria will look like - Russian jets sending Al-Raqqa (the ISIS stronghold in Syria) back to the Stone Age:

Why would Russia want to remove Assad? Russia supports Assad.

Syria is the gateway between Europe and the Middle East when it comes to oil and gas.

Yeah you hit it on the HEAD. THAT is the TRUTH, and most people on here are either simply too brainwashed or too dumb to see it and admit it.

Why? No-one but Russia has initiated overtures for a diplomatic and peaceful solution to the carnage in Syria. Now Russia is going force it upon everyone at gunpoint.
