Oh puhleez ... the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels don't have anything to demo right now that comes close to what the Russian aerobatics teams have on display with their Flankers. It's not their fault — the 'Birds and the Angels simply don't have the planes that can match up.

Yes, gotta hand it to the Russians — I think they've designed and built some of the best-looking and most agile jet fighters over the past decade (or more). It seemed to have all started with the SU-27 Flanker, and just kept getting better and better.

It's really a rather obvious take down piece by ESPN, as a proxy for Disney. They still can't get over the fact that the Lakers have a $5 Billion deal with Time-Warner Cable sports. It's a deal that precludes the NBA-TNT/ESPN/Disney TV deal.
