You can most definitely get sued for “reporting” what Jen Kirkman said when she never said any such thing.

But who else made the allegations? I have googled it. And as near as I can tell gawker made it up and they don’t have a source. A lot of people reposted it, but they’re just repeating gawker’s claims, which are based on nothing.
True, but they’re making up an allegation from Jen Kirkman (who said she wasn’t talking about CK) and “other women.”
Neither did Kirkman.
There are a lot of practical reasons not to sue. Namely, it would be time consuming and expensive and probably not worth it even if he won.
Jen Kirkman also stated on her podcast that it wasn’t Louis CK she was calling out, and that Jezebel were terrible journalists for running the story after she asked them not to.
He was a huge factor in the growth of her career. It’s insanely revisionist for anyone to say otherwise. He’s also the the probable reason her show was greenlit. I’m not writing about the rumors or whether he is or isn’t an asshole, simply that his advocacy for her and the attention it generated was critical for her…
I thought Kirkman said that she wasn’t talking about Louis?
“I HATE DRAMA!” -your most dramatic friend
Glad I wasn’t the only one who felt like this. Anytime I hear about her now, it’s about some beef she has with another comedian but these comedians never say anything about her. Makes her look petty, imo, or like one of those friends that *always* has a problem with *someone.*
I think she’s talented but she seems rather conflictive and kind of always comes off as a little bitter about not being as famous as some other comedians. I don’t know, I’m just always a little suspicious of people who seem to have so much conflict in their lives, I can’t help but think maybe it’s them?
I’m going to ignore any more nonsense from this classless biatch and instead give a shout-out to Jenni Miller who has been an articulate badass throughout all the hoopla around this. She should look into politics.
They’re tired of the bullshit, the political correctness, using our tax dollars to bring in people from Syria and Somalia, all this other stuff with homosexuality.
Help help! I’m being repressed!
Zionism has never meant “the politics of the state of Israel.” That’s bullshit anti-semitic propaganda. Zionism originated as a movement among oppressed European Jews who sought a homeland in the Holy Land. Zionism offered a haven from Hitler when he was murdering us by the millions.
(1) That’s my fault then. I should have been more exact. I meant that people separate a concept from a reality all the time. For Zionists, like Americans, there is the concept of what they want. The reality may not match it but that doesn’t mean it can’t change.
See you have it flipped. The colonialism is something that has been attached to Zionism recently. Mine is the pure, correct, original definition of Zionism. What you (and many others) consider Zionism is a bastardization of the term, by groups in power who seek to retain that power. I am trying to bring Zionism back…
I just got back from the gym (yay for hour long lunch breaks!) and I’ve been thinking about this since your previous post. I think for me, the most important thing in an Israeli land is that it is a place for all Jews, no matter what. No matter who else lives there, as long as it is an overall ethical country (we need…
It’s okay, a lot of people aren’t aware of the historical context that Zionism comes from. And I am more than happy to explain! In the late 19th century the term Zionism was coined by a man named Theodore Herzl, an Austrian journalist. Modern Zionism emerged in the late 19th century in Europe as a national revival…
“Nothing is creepier than ISIS” would be a statement that I can get behind, for example. “Nothing is creepier than Bibi fucking Netanyahu” is another one I wholeheartedly support!
