I was wondering the same thing. I just saw this on "Lost Girl" a few weeks back, and Torchwood had an…interesting version of the trope (test your strength against aliens!), but why does every B-tier scifi show need the Fight Club ep?

I thought Hicks killed him, too, and I still wouldn't be surprised if they reveal that later on. Man is a good shot.

Gary's my favorite character, and they really write him well. There are so many shows that try to write autism, and they either get it offensively wrong, or they skirt the symptoms, using them when it fits the plot. Plus, some shows refuse to acknowledge any type of diagnosis for fear of offending viewers. (See: The

Shouldn't *Superman* be the one who's pregnant, being the alien and all? Ah, the joys of M-Preg "logic"!

I don't usually watch Avengers, but I stuck around for the Spidey cameo. I was completely delighted that the Spidey they chose was the Peter Parker I remember from the early Ultimate Spider-Man comic run. A good natured teen who works part time at The Daily Bugle website; a nice kid who's misunderstood despite his

I hope The Legend of Korra panel will be covered by someone here—Oliver Sava, probably. And the Doctor Who panel, which shouldn't be hard to get into at all, being all British and obscure…

It's such a silly distinction, especially considering how the two companies regularly borrow ideas from one another (and use the same writers and artists at different times). I like Marvel. I like DC. I like shonen manga (I often wonder if "Shonen Jump vs. Shonen Sunday" is the Marvel vs. DC question in Japan…). I

This is a great interview! I checked out the first Irredeemable trade on a whim, and now I'm stocking up on Irredeemable and Uncorruptable trades (thank you, Friendly Neighborhood Library!). The stories Waid comes up with are fun, addictive, thought provoking, character-driven and funny—everything one could possibly

The lack of animals freaked me out even more than the lack of color. Never seeing or hearing birds or squirrels seemed so alien…

Squirrel Girl beat Doctor Doom! Plus, who wouldn't love the power of simply being immortal?

I liked last week's episode better, because I like the plot they're building with Osbourne and Ultimate Spider-Man's Doctor Octopus is deliciously creepy. This episode felt like a wasted opportunity to give the supporting caste depth. We learn that Danny defeated a dragon and earned the Iron Fist power, but what was a
