Oh, the witches are a joy, even now. It’s funny because I would have seen Hocus Pocus only a month or so after the Mario movie (I think it came out in July or August of that year, if I’m not mistaken). I loved both movies, but as an adult Mario holds up way better. My husband hadn’t seen Hocus Pocus until this year,

Oh for sure, I have no beef with the old TMNT movies (refused to watch the new ones lol). The turtles themselves are ugly, but as I said, I loved that. They’re ugly in a good way.

I did get that impression from the show, that the casual nudity was meant to be of a piece with the casual violence, showing that people were less protective of their bodies now that they were considered interchangeable and separate from the self. Still, if that was the sole intent, you’d think it would’ve had more of

Apparently one company produces like 20% of DRAM in the world, and they had a problem with their factories over the summer or something like that. So the prices should drop back near normal within the next year, hopefully.

Also he went public with how much money he has so hes on the hook with the irs who will come and take 30%

Not to be super pedantic, but if he lost 60% of his $1.5 million, he’d have $600k. So, it’s even worse.

Well hopefully Bitcoin crashes and it brings an end to the whole crypto fad so the video card market normalizes over the next few years.

Well, he took a 60% haircut so if he was worth $1.5 million, he’s walking around with $900 k. Granted, still a lot, but he’s technically no millionaire. I’d like to see what he has to say in a year and whether or not he considers himself to blame for not being a millionaire as he digs for ham scraps in a dumpster.

If your mental state was such that you never realized that your sex doll wasn’t a real person, and you died still trying to earn its affections, yours would be a heartbreaking story too.

This looks very intriguing. Can I just say that Warcraft was far better than I thought it would be. For the record, I’ve never played the game. Based on that and Source Code, Jones might be one of more underrated directors of our time.

I don’t know if you can really compare a one-off movie and what could turn into a continuing series, but it strkes me as a pretty smart move for Jones to make this a British-German co-production and partner up with Berlin’s Studio Babelsberg. Whatever the budget, subsidies and tax breaks for film production in Berlin

Came here to say that. This looks *way* better than AC (or at least netflix’s take on AC, the books were great).

You can already feel it in that trailer.

Every aspect of the scenes looks familiar, but it feels like we’re following the story of those background cyberpunk characters that aid the main character and disappear. Like the typically mysterious bartender or the shady surgeon. Who knows, this might turn out to be a really special movie!

Cyberpunk can be so fucking cool.

I usually tends to be on Apple’s side on most arguments. But yours is a really good argument. Mostly considering that Apple focus on simplicity makes it’s users not necessarily the kind of people that knows and care for specs. They trust the brand and in those cases, they are failing them

The Air was most certainly a game changer and you’d be a fool to discredit that. I do agree it was more evolutionary than revolutionary, but you don’t need to be revolutionary to be a game-changer.

I mean, the model T was the result of a steady improvement in industrial processes that allowed Ford to produce a cheap, reliable car for the masses. But what made it important was that it was the first to market and the archetype that every other car manufacturer would strive to beat. It took them years to catch up.

Wow, I didn’t realize we had Apple to thank for laptops getting thinner and lighter! Here I thought it was a steady process that began almost thirty years ago. What was I thinking?
