Right. It’s not even a book that’s commonly assigned in schools that I’m aware of. Maybe it should be - there’s more than enough books that focus on often angsty male teens and adolescents in school curriculums (A Catcher in the Rye, A Seperate Piece, Lord of the Flies, Huck Fynn, etc.), and not nearly enough female

She’s not perfect.

Hermione is never - not once - described as white in the books. I think it’s pretty clear JK Rowling thinks she’s black. And the books do actually imply it, it’s just that most of us missed it at the time.

-Hermione is never described as white in the books, and it’s strongly implied she is black. Most readers (myself included at the time) just made wrong assumptions.

The premise, and year chosen for wizards and witches to begin their story, feels like really good ideas to me.

I’m honestly annoyed at the nerf. The problem isn’t that sloshers were ‘too good,’ it’s that others needed a leg up. I don’t even think the dualies needed another nerf. The game should just slightly increase the range of most non-dualie splat type weapons, and make splat chargers a bit more forgiving on range... or,

The game has so many players in the US that ranked matches form up incredibly quick. Never any queues timing out. Not once for me.

I would agree if it was some sudden thing, but Nintendo has been up front about this from the start. Even before the console’s launch. There’s been near constant reminders, too.

Once a player picks a team, they can’t change - so I don’t think casual players moving around is an issue - if that’s what you meant by it.

I’ve been a fan for a while. An amazing youtube channel.

Imagine how fast all these guys would wilt if anyone spent 10 minutes looking through their Twitter feeds....

It’s Nintendo’s responsibility to check to make sure their products with every unlicensed accessory?

Dear god, I can’t believe I forgot to mention the Zombie.

The first TMNT movie is not actually that terrible for something made with bad 90s ‘talk down to kids’ tropes left and right.

Final Fantasy: The Movie is pretty boring and not a great film (although, not the worst, either).

Hocus Pocus is beloved because every scene with the witches is *gold*, and people are thus able to forget that 90% of the rest of the movie is shit (and in a way that’s 90s sitcom-y ‘write kids in a way that talks down to them’ patronizing nonsense, which is offensive).

BTW: I loved this as a child. From the pure “can a kid enjoy this?” perspective, the answer is yes. At least for the 8 or so year old version of me. I think that’s partly because there’s a lot to *look* at, has a lot going on (it’s not boring), and exists in a fully realized world... even if that world is batshit

This movie is bad in an “Oh my god I can’t look away” kind of way.

It probably won’t save your battery compared to using color (at least if you’re using an LCD screen).
