I’m judging older people who judge younger people who grew up with the game, cards and show, for still enjoying aspects of the thing they grew up with, especially in healthy ways that are good excuses to get exercise and explore.

For cars, this is a terrible idea.

No, I don’t prefer “litigious society” because that’s not what these people were. These people were in terrible grief, they weren’t looking to selfishly try to make a buck.

Don’t worry. His bail was set at $20,000 and said his dad would have ‘no problem’ paying for it...

You should have stopped at the first two sentences, which was a good observation.

All the implications are that Rheagar and Llyana were actually in love - which makes it highly likely they were married.

I think the big twist will be that Dany goes bad when she realizes there’s another Targaryen rightfully ahead of her in the line of succession. For years now she’s been acting as if Westeros was hers by provenance, her whole life has been about taking it back (and having had it stolen is IMO largely behind why she

So, basically, there’s nothing wrong with Boston fans, other than their teams win too damn much.

I feel like the NBA has to fix this. It wasn’t always *this* bad — there were years in which well rounded teams who may not have had one of the three or four best players in the league could have a shot at winning, even if they were the under dogs. When’s the last time that’s happened in the NBA? The Detroit Pistons?

I’m so sick of all the hate people from other parts of the country have for Boston sports teams and their fans — to the point where I’ve long since learned to enjoy it.

This is amazing journalism.

Those aren’t actually holidays, though. People don’t get them off (unless they take them off).

I mostly agree with this. Some of the individual characters have really nice stories, but there are so many characters going in so many directions, that sometimes it’s hard to care about any given episode. The first few seasons were much better and consistent than the last few, but it’s always been a problem.

It’s a nice idea in theory, but in pulling them all so darn far apart it seems like GRRM’s lost grip of the story as a whole and doesn’t know how to bring everything back together again (as evidenced by the fact that there’s been 2 books in the last 16 years after his first 3 books came out in 4 years).

This has always been my biggest problem with Song of Fire and Ice and GRRM’s decisions as a storyteller.

That is a perfect idea.

I am sure a Studio Ghibli ride would do fantastic at Disney’s Tokyo park. In fact, I’m sure a whole Studio Ghibli area would do very well there.

I think Chun Li would be the last person to describe her injuries after a fight as battery. While Street Fighter’s fights would doubtfully be ‘legally sanctioned’ within its own universe (and thus perhaps meet the legal definition of battery), they’re fights that highly skilled, trained and powerful contestants

The first novel I ever attempted to write and gave up on wasn’t because I couldn’t think of anything to write, ran out of ideas or hated my story, but was because I had written so damn much out of order that I had no idea how to put it together again.

I’m going to hazard a guess that perhaps their military’s national band is not a meritocracy.
